4 Easy Smoothie Bowl Recipes To Brighten Your Day
Smoothie bowls are the breakfast that you always think about making (thanks to enviable Instagram food bloggers) but never actually get around to making--because it feels like it just takes a little too long.
But, hear us out — as spring approaches, we think it’s the perfect time to indulge in a delicious, healthy, feel-good breakfast (or snack!). Yes, it takes a little longer to prepare, but it’s about loving your body and nourishing your mind with the right foods! We like to think of cooking as a form of self-love, and when you think of it like that, it feels like it’s worth putting a little more time and effort into the food you’re making and the way it looks.
Plus, smoothie bowls are also a great way to get fruits and leafy greens (high in antioxidants and essential nutrients) into your diet, which will only support your immune health. Here are our favorite recipes:
4 easy smoothie bowl recipes to brighten your day
How to make a smoothie bowl:
Blend all of your ingredients together, but leave a thicker consistency than if you were making a drinkable smoothie
Save some toppings and ingredients for design!
Add your mixture to a bowl & get creative with your toppings to make interesting designs that bring a smile to your face!
Blending tip: If you have one, use a high-powered blender or food processor to achieve a smooth, creamy texture. If you're blending up leafy vegetables in a green smoothie, stick them in the blender first (followed by liquid) to ensure the foliage is properly broken down.
