We’re back with another On The Go recipe! This week, we’re sharing our On The Go: Homemade Chocolate Fro-Yo recipe — perfect for hot summer days and after-dinner treats — that you only need a few minutes to make!

Recipe: Homemade chocolate fro-yo

Time: 5 minutes | Servings: 2

This is a great recipe to have on hand as a healthy, easy snack to have on-the-go, and great to fill you up when dinner is just to far away.

Why is it perfect for busy mamas? If you pop the low-fat, frozen yogurt into the freezer as soon as you buy it, then this recipe only takes 5 minutes to whip up! You can also batch make multiple servings, freeze the mixture into tupperwear & serve like you would with shop bought ice-cream — but this is much healthier!

What you’ll need:

  • ¾ cup of low-fat frozen yogurt

  • 2 TBSP unsweetened cocoa

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk

  • Dark chocolate shavings, for garnish

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Blend frozen yogurt, cocoa, and milk. For more a smoothie consistency, purée the mixture until smooth.

  2. Pour into a chilled glass and garnish with chocolate shavings. Serve and sip away!
