How To Live Your Best Life After 40 With MBody

Did you catch our post earlier this week on the most important hormone in the female body? We shared some must-know info on estrogen, progesterone, and how they play a critical role in women’s health. We also dropped a really exciting announcement: the team behind Baby2Body is launching a brand new app later this year, called MBody.

Don’t worry, Baby2Body will keep delivering everything you love (and more) for fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum health and wellness. But our new platform MBody will support many women in our existing community as they enter into their 40s and the perimenopause period. With nearly 1 billion women in the world experiencing symptoms related to perimenopause and hormonal fluctuations, we’re so excited to empower a massive part of the population.

Like Baby2Body, MBody is a passion project for our CEO & Founder, Melinda Nicci. So, we decided to turn the rest of this post over to her so she can share her vision, what led to this new venture, and what you can expect from MBody.

Why did you decide to launch MBody?

Seven years ago, I had an idea for an app that would change the way women approach their health and wellness during pregnancy. Six years ago, that idea turned into my launching Baby2Body, and three years after that, we brought out our first app — which many of you know and love!

Today, Baby2Body is the award-winning health and wellness app that provides personalized coaching for women in their reproductive years. We have had over 2 million women from all over the world join this community, and I could not be more proud of what we have created or more grateful to every single woman on the app.

But I always knew I wanted to support women beyond the reproductive phases of their lives. I have dedicated my entire career to women's wellness and I know there are so many life stages and conditions that could benefit from the type of personalized support we have created at Baby2Body. That’s the grand vision: to create the world's leading brand for women's wellness — enabling every woman in the world the opportunity and inspiration to live healthier and happier, with access to relevant and personalized programs. I am thrilled to tell you about MBody, which is just the next step.

Who is MBody for?

MBody is for all the women entering or currently in their 40s. This is an age when women are likely feeling in their prime, then suddenly, things start to change in subtle ways. If you’re near this age, does that sound familiar?

I recently started experiencing it myself; I wasn’t sleeping as well through the night, I was having more frequent headaches, and more muscle soreness after my regular workouts that — as a lifelong athlete — I wasn’t used to experiencing. So I dedicated myself to researching exactly what was going on in my body and how I could improve it. I learned what to do to modify my exercise routine, why I should increase my magnesium intake, and how to change the way I was managing stressors — and those lifestyle changes made a massive difference in my quality of life. I have spoken to so many incredible experts in this field, and the stories are all the same: women start feeling differently at this age, but they don’t know what is causing it nor how to address it. 

Technically, this is the perimenopause period, a time when our bodies start producing less estrogen and preparing for a post-reproductive life. It’s important to know that this isn’t menopause, as a woman can remain in this perimenopausal phase for 2-12 years before technically going through menopause, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore it. In fact, the women I’ve talked to about this all say the same thing: “I wish someone had told me about this sooner”. And that’s why I’m telling you about it now!

How can women live their best in their 40s?

The choices you make in your late 30s and 40s can shape your future menopause experience and impact how you age and feel in your body. And you can live so vibrantly and feel amazing in your 40s and 50s, I promise you. I’ve committed my life’s work to building lifestyle programs that help women live the way they want to, and that’s what MBody will do, too.

The truth is, 100% of us will go through this perimenopause phase, and even though we all might experience it a little differently, we’re here to make sure you are 100% ready to sail through it. MBody will educate you on hormone health, and how your diet and nutrient levels can have a knock-on effect on how you’re feeling.
