We created our first dance workout

We’ve been busy working with the incredible Katja Završnik — a professional dancer and one of our very own Baby2Body mamas — to bring you our very first dance workout. We can’t wait for you to try it.

We’ve loved working with Katja as an ambassador since she joined Baby2Body a few years ago. She’s shared her heartfelt story of loss in her first pregnancy and the joys of her second pregnancy and her baby girl with our community. She’s also demonstrated time and again just how talented she is on the dance floor — both as a professional swing and jazz dancer and a passionate teacher.

Why Katja loves dance as a form of exercise

“Dance for me is one of the best ways to exercise. It is liberating — it allows your thoughts to just be or set free when needed. It clears your head while exercising the whole body and getting your cardio done.

It’s also the best antidepressant — dance can heal your wounds and can bring you joy. You don’t need any special equipment or a gym. You can dance anywhere, anytime: when you cook, clean, walk, or while shopping. The only thing you need is the music and you are all set!”

Why we’re creating dance workouts for Baby2Body

We fundamentally believe exercise should make you feel good and it should be fun. The biggest challenge to staying fit is keeping up the motivation to exercise on a regular basis. If you dread your regular workouts, it makes it really hard to stay motivated, you know?

That’s why it’s so important to find exercise routines that make you excited to move. Dance is an incredible way to enjoy yourself while you’re getting a workout in.

We’re looking forward to creating more dance routines, but first, we wanted to bring you a taste of a dance workout with Katja. We’re featuring her first routine, free for all members, right here on the blog. It’s sure to leave you sweating, and smiling — and that’s the whole point!
